Can our video be longer than a minute?
Of course! Clips longer than a minute (we're OK if it's a tad longer) cost an additional 20% of the base rate per clip or if they are longer than 2 minutes may fall into the "custom" category. Just click on the Sign Up & Questions tab above and fill out the information. We'll get back to you to discuss all the custom factors, and then prepare a quote just for that project.
Can I bring video or graphics into my Minute Navigator clip?
Yes you can! Under our standard pricing—which you can find by clicking on the RATES tab above—the use of two elements is included. The elements can be a logo, photo, or even a video. Need more than two elements? You can add as many additional elements as you like for $50 each.
What's your turnaround time?
Once we've received a final script and all the materials, an approval clip will be ready for viewing within 7 working days. Once you approve the clip and paid in full, the clip will be made available for you to download at any time. (Exceptions can be made when we've contracted to provide clips on a repeating basis—say, weekly or monthly—or if special arrangements have been made in advance.) Can our CEO or some other non-professional be our spokesperson?
Yes! We can videotape anybody, at any time, in any place—but be sure to find out if the person you've chosen will perform well on-camera. It's not as easy as it looks! Videotaping your people, either in our studio or on location, will be considered "custom," and we'll set pricing on a case-by-case basis.
How much does a custom video cost?
We'll have to look at all the factors to answer this question. If your clip involves shooting outside our studio, with spokespeople that we don't provide, and graphics beyond those described here, our costs increase—so let's discuss what you've got in mind. Can I get a better price if I order multiple clips?
Yes, you can. If we're shooting one-minute clips in our studio, all with the same spokesperson, we offer a nice discount for multiple clips. Just click here to see the price list.
What file format are your clips in?
We can deliver your clip in most of the file formats. Consult your webmaster to see if there are issues particular to your website or web server. Adobe Flash Player is the most prevalent media player, but your site may require another format, like Quicktime or Windows Media Player.
What about hosting?
Your completed video clip can be hosted anywhere—on your website or on video sites like YouTube. The clip is entirely your property, so you can host it anywhere you want.
If your scriptwriters write the script, we get approval, right?
You get complete approval. We'll need information, either directly from you or from your website, so you'll have to tell us what's important to communicate. Our professional writers will put together a compelling script and send it to you for approval. Our scriptwriting costs $50 an hour, with a two-hour minimum.
What do we need to know about writing a script?
Write it so a human being can say it—and understand it! Cramming too much information into a short amount of time or using lots of tech jargon will send your visitors elsewhere in a heartbeat. Think about how a newcomer would like to be greeted and shown around—and start there.
